'The View' Co-host Ana Navarro Faces Backlash for Comment about Wanting to 'Breastfeed' Singer Maluma

Ana Navarro, co-host of 'The View', faced backlash for posting on Instagram about wanting to 'breastfeed' Colombian singer Maluma after seeing him perform in Miami. Navarro, 51, commented on 29-year-old Maluma's sex appeal and stated her seats were close enough to make eye contact.
Several social media and Instagram users condemned Navarro's remarks, with one stating that 'if a man made a sexually explicit comment about a much younger female performer, they'd face immediate repercussions'. Navarro was also criticized for her 'vulgarity' and 'double standards'.
In response to the contentious post, actress and television show host Holly Robinson Peete made light of Navarro's comment by stating: 'Why do I have a visual of you breastfeeding that boy that I cannot unsee'. Some users, however, found Navarro's comment humorous and defended her candid nature.
Navarro has previously opened up about her struggles with trying to get pregnant through in vitro fertilization (IVF). During a 2019 segment on 'The View', she encouraged women to freeze their eggs if they could afford it, in order to have greater options later on.
Maluma, who is a reggaeton and salsa star, is currently expecting his first child with long-term girlfriend Susana Gomez. Navarro, who is also fond of other artists like Sting and Fat Joe, made no comment on Maluma's impending fatherhood in her Instagram post.
