The Sims Marks 25th Anniversary With Major Updates and Events

Electronic Arts celebrates the milestone with free content, a 25-hour livestream, new kits, and updates across The Sims franchise.

The Sims 4 will receive a significant update on February 4, 2025, featuring over 70 new items, including hairstyles, clothing, and a pirate ship for kids.
A free limited-time event called 'Blast from the Past' will launch on February 4, offering rewards inspired by 2000s pop culture, such as milk carton collectibles and inflatable furniture.
Three new kits—Secret Sanctuary Kit, Casanova Cave Kit, and Comfy Gamer Kit—will be released on January 16, with one kit created in collaboration with streamer LilSimsie.
The Sims FreePlay will host a 25-day celebration event with 2000s-inspired rewards and introduce enhanced lighting for home lots in March.
EA has also issued a surprise patch for The Sims 3, addressing crashes on PCs with 12th-gen Intel Core processors, marking its first update in years.
