The Postcard Killings, a thriller film starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, has quickly risen to become the most popular film on Netflix in the United States, despite having made very little money in theaters.
The film was released in theaters in March 2020 and earned just over $180,000 through its whole run.
The Postcard Killings is based on the 2010 novel The Postcard Killers by James Patterson and Liza Marklund, and is about a New York detective who travels to Europe to investigate the murders of his daughter and son-in-law.
With a 24% on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie didn't win critics over, but has found an audience on Netflix.
The film was directed by Danis Tanović, who wrote and directed No Man’s Land, which was awarded Best Foreign Language Film at the 2002 Academy Awards and the 2002 Golden Globe Awards.
