'Nun 2' Revisits Taissa Farmiga's Sister Irene in New Trailer

Farmiga faces off against Valak again in the sequel to 2018's 'The Nun,' set for release in September 2023.
The story is set in 1956 France, follows the return of Sister Irene and the demonic force Valak four years after the first film.
New cast members include Storm Reid, Katelyn Rose Downey, and Anna Popplewell.
The sequel will provide backstory on Valak's origin and how the demon confronts the Warrens in future 'Conjuring' films.
Director Michael Chaves takes the helm of the ninth installment in 'The Conjuring' franchise, produced by James Wan and Peter Safran.
