The Long Walk’ Sets Oct. 21 Digital Debut and Nov. 25 Disc Release

SteelBook bonuses, including an alternate ending, aim to draw collectors to the Francis Lawrence film.

Overview

  • Lionsgate will release the film on Premium Digital on October 21 with a $24.99 purchase price and a $19.99 48-hour rental.
  • Physical editions land on November 25 on 4K UHD SteelBook, Blu-ray, and DVD, with the Blu-ray listed at $39.99 (with digital copy) and the DVD at $29.96.
  • The 4K UHD SteelBook is the only version featuring an Alternate Ending, Stephen King: An Appreciation, and a Cooper & David scene read, plus the Ever Onward making-of documentary and theatrical trailers.
  • Directed by Francis Lawrence from a script by JT Mollner, the movie adapts Stephen King’s first novel published under Richard Bachman and runs 108 minutes after a September 12 theatrical release.
  • The story centers on a state-run endurance contest requiring a pace of at least three miles per hour under threat of execution, and SlashFilm reports it became the highest-rated King movie on Rotten Tomatoes.
