The Game Awards 2023 broke the event’s viewership record with an estimated 118 million livestreams, up 15% compared to 2022’s awards.
The event was streamed live across 30 platforms including Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WeChat, Weibo and Bilibili, with more than 17,000 channels co-streaming the show.
The Game Awards debuted in 2014 with 1.9 million viewers and has grown every year since, establishing itself as the most-watched awards show in the world.
Baldur’s Gate 3 won Game of the Year at the event, along with five other awards.
The show featured appearances from celebrities and revealed upcoming projects, including plans to reboot retro franchises like 'Crazy Taxi' and 'Streets of Rage.'
