Robert Smith revealed that the track was initially called ‘Kill The Sun’ before evolving into its current form.
The album, produced with Paul Corkett, marks The Cure's first since 2008’s ‘4:13 Dream’ and includes eight tracks.
The Cure will perform at the BBC Radio Theatre in London on October 30, ahead of the album's release.
