'The Brutalist' Sets Streaming Debut Dates on Max and HBO

Following its Oscar-winning run, the A24 epic will stream on Max starting May 16, 2025, with an HBO premiere on May 17 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Brutalist, directed by Brady Corbet, will debut on the streaming platform Max on May 16, 2025, and on HBO linear the following day at 8 p.m. ET.
The film earned critical acclaim and multiple Oscars, including Best Actor for Adrien Brody, Best Original Score, and Best Cinematography.
The story follows Hungarian architect László Toth, played by Brody, as he rebuilds his life in post-WWII America while grappling with personal and professional sacrifices.
The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where Corbet won the Silver Lion, and later grossed over $49 million during its theatrical run.
The ensemble cast includes Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, and Joe Alwyn, with a script co-written by Corbet and Mona Fastvold.
