'The Boy and the Heron' Set for Global Streaming, Excluding U.S. and Japan

Hayao Miyazaki's latest film, 'The Boy and the Heron,' to stream on Netflix later this year, with Max securing rights for U.S. audiences.

Studio Ghibli's 'The Boy and the Heron' will be available on Netflix worldwide, except in the U.S. and Japan, where Max will stream the film.
The film is Miyazaki's first feature in 10 years, winning an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and grossing over $167M worldwide.
In addition to 'The Boy and the Heron,' Netflix will continue to stream 22 other Studio Ghibli films as part of a new deal.
The film will also see a re-release in theaters in North America and Japan before its streaming debut.
'The Boy and the Heron' features a star-studded voice cast for its dubbed version, including Christian Bale, Gemma Chan, and Florence Pugh.
