'The Bikeriders' Acquired by Focus Features for 2024 Release

The crime thriller, initially set for a 2020 release, was pulled due to the actors' strike and has now found a new home with Focus Features.

Focus Features has acquired worldwide rights to 'The Bikeriders', a crime thriller set in 1960s Chicago, from New Regency and 20th Century Studios.
The film, directed by Jeff Nichols and starring Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, and Jodie Comer, was initially scheduled for release on Dec. 1, but was pulled due to the actors' strike.
Focus Features will handle the film's distribution in North America, while Universal Pictures International will manage the global rollout.
'The Bikeriders' is now set for a 2024 theatrical release, making it ineligible for the current awards season.
The film had earned positive reviews at the Telluride Film Festival before its distribution was shifted.
