Overview

• The Batman Part II has entered pre-production and will begin principal photography on January 1, 2026, at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom.
• Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin delivered the completed screenplay in June, concluding delays caused by the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes and a focus on script quality.
• Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Batman alongside Colin Farrell as Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.
• The sequel remains a standalone Elseworlds story under Reeves’ vision and is slated for an October 1, 2027 theatrical release, separate from James Gunn’s interconnected DCU.
