'Thanksgiving Grandma' Expands Tradition with Airbnb Partnership

Two Lucky Guests to Join Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton for Thanksgiving Dinner; Airbnb to Donate to Feeding America

Wanda Dench, known as 'Thanksgiving Grandma', is teaming up with Airbnb to host two strangers for Thanksgiving dinner.
The tradition started in 2016 when Dench accidentally texted Jamal Hinton, inviting him to Thanksgiving dinner, thinking she was texting her grandson.
Guests can sign up for the chance to have dinner and an overnight stay at Dench's home in Prescott Valley, Arizona, for $16, corresponding to the year Dench and Hinton met.
Airbnb will be making a donation to the relief organization Feeding America as part of the event.
A movie about the unlikely friendship between Dench and Hinton is possibly in the works.
