Thane Man Arrested for Raping, Killing 10-Year-Old Girl and Disposing of Her Body

Police confirm the accused lured the child with toys, raped her, slit her throat, and pushed her body from his sixth-floor flat.

A 20-year-old man in Thane, Maharashtra, has been arrested for the rape and murder of a 10-year-old girl on the night of April 7, 2025.
The accused allegedly lured the victim, who lived nearby, with toys and took her to his sixth-floor residence in the Samrat Nagar area of Mumbra.
An autopsy confirmed that the victim was raped and her throat was slit with a sharp weapon before her body was pushed from an open bathroom window.
Emergency services, including police and the fire brigade, responded to the scene and retrieved the girl’s body from a narrow shaft in the building, where she was found deceased.
Authorities have filed charges under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, with further legal proceedings underway.
