  • Ravindra Muralidhar Verma, a 27-year-old mechanical engineer with Krasney Defence Technologies, was arrested on May 29 by the Maharashtra ATS under the Official Secrets Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
  • Investigators found he was honey-trapped on Facebook by Pakistani agents and shared classified naval data via WhatsApp from November 2024 to March 2025.
  • He transmitted sketches, diagrams and audio recordings detailing the locations of 14 warships and submarines, five of which Naval Dockyard authorities confirmed as restricted information.
  • Financial records indicate Verma received payments from multiple bank accounts in India and abroad for each intelligence exchange.
  • The ATS has seized his digital devices and is probing links to at least two Pakistani operatives and an unidentified handler known as “Sir.”
