Thailand Deports Russian Citizen Erika Vladyko to Vladivostok

Officials say the deportation follows completed legal procedures for a visa overstay case.

Thai immigration officers escorted Vladyko to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport on November 12 and registered her on Aeroflot flight SU645 to Vladivostok.
A representative of the Immigration Bureau said she left the detention facility after all required procedures were completed and was deported to Russia.
Police had detained her on October 21 for exceeding the permitted stay after her visa expired on September 22, according to Thai authorities.
Russian diplomats previously located her on September 21 in a Bangkok hostel and arranged care for her child, who was initially handed to the grandmother.
Law enforcement in Vladivostok told RIA Novosti the child is now with the father, while a Russian consular official said Thai police conducted investigative actions without announcing further charges.
