Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's indoor golf league, TGL, has been delayed until 2025 due to a power system failure that caused the dome of its custom-built Florida venue to deflate, damaging the structure.
The league's 24 players, six team ownership groups and other key partners, including the PGA Tour, were consulted ahead of the postponement.
The venture is the brainchild of TMRW Sports, a company co-founded by Woods and McIlroy.
Both players expressed disappointment but also confidence in the future of the league, emphasizing that the delay will allow them to regroup and return stronger.
The TGL aims to attract a younger audience to golf with six teams of four PGA Tour stars competing at the SoFi Center, playing on a tech-infused course.
