Overview

• The collision occurred at approximately 9:35 am when a double-decker TfL bus mounted a pavement after colliding with another vehicle in Parliament Square near Westminster Abbey.
• One passenger was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service while two others received treatment on site.
• Firefighters from Lambeth Fire Station secured the scene and cleared a fuel spillage to make the area safe.
• Around 25 people evacuated the bus prior to emergency crews arriving and an air ambulance attended the scene.
• One southbound lane at Parliament Square and Bridge Street remains closed for ongoing accident investigation work.
