- TF1 inked the new financing agreement on June 11 with six production trade associations and two authors’ societies, replacing a December 2022 deal and securing 48-month rights for its substantially financed catalog.
- Under the pact, TF1+ subscribers will eventually be able to buy individual films, series or documentaries via micropayments, although the pay-per-view feature is not yet live.
- Launched in early 2024, the TF1+ platform currently offers a free ad-supported tier alongside an ad-free premium subscription at 5.99 euros per month.
- The accord extends TF1’s mandated investments through the end of 2028 in fiction, documentary films and animated content to sustain production output.
