Tabatha Sullivent was attacked by a shark while standing in shallow water, losing part of her left calf.
Her husband, Cary, was also bitten while trying to rescue her from the shark's pursuit.
The couple received help from bystanders who pulled them out and administered first aid.
Four people encountered the shark, but only two were bitten during the attack.
