Texas Woman Kills Alleged Kidnapper in Self-Defense

A 45-year-old Texas woman shot and killed a man she claims had kidnapped and drugged her, according to the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office.

Amy Maynor Lejeune, 45, reported shooting Lance Damon Reid, 49, near a Fredericksburg winery after he allegedly kidnapped and drugged her during a weekend trip.
Law enforcement found Lejeune near the scene and Reid deceased in the vehicle described by Lejeune.
Lejeune met Reid recently and was on a weekend trip in the Hill Country area when the incident occurred.
The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter.
Lejeune was taken to a local hospital, but there was no immediate information on her condition.
