Texas Voter Registration Deadline Is Today for the Nov. 4 Election

State law sets a 30‑day cutoff ahead of Nov. 4, making today the last opportunity to get on the rolls.

Overview

  • Texans must be registered by Monday, Oct. 6 to participate in the Nov. 4 election, with early voting scheduled for Oct. 20–31.
  • Residents can register by printing, signing and mailing the Secretary of State’s online application or by registering in person at their county voter registrar’s office.
  • El Paso County’s Elections Department is accepting in-person registrations until 5 p.m. today at 500 E. San Antonio Ave., Suite 314.
  • Paper applications are also available at post offices, DPS offices, public libraries, Texas Health and Human Services offices and many high schools, and a registration certificate is mailed after processing.
  • Voters can check registration status and polling locations on the Texas Secretary of State’s My Voter Portal, and in-person voting requires an acceptable photo ID.
