Texas Voter Registration Closes Monday for Nov. 4 Election

Last-minute registration is available at county offices or through prepaid mail if received by the deadline.

Overview

  • State law requires registration 30 days before Election Day, making Oct. 6 the cutoff to take part in the Nov. 4 vote.
  • County elections offices are accepting in-person applications Monday, with El Paso County open 8 a.m.–5 p.m. at 500 E. San Antonio Ave., Suite 314.
  • Voters may download a postage-prepaid application from EPCountyVotes.com or VoteTexas.gov, and mailed forms must arrive by Monday to be processed.
  • Early voting runs Oct. 20–31 ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
  • This year’s ballot is extensive, with 17 statewide propositions and local races in communities including Socorro, Clint, Tornillo ISD and the Village of Vinton.
