Texas Trooper Hurt as Driver Resists Arrest During Ellis County Traffic Stop

  • As the truck slowed, the front-seat passenger exited and fled on foot while the driver continued briefly before pulling over.
  • During the struggle to arrest the driver, 28-year-old Jose Molina of Fort Worth resisted and caused minor injuries to the trooper.
  • Molina was booked into the Ellis County Jail on charges of evading arrest in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.
  • The fleeing passenger remains unidentified and the Department of Public Safety says its investigation into the stop and the escape is ongoing.
