Texas Teen Fatally Shot in Road Rage Incident, Praised for Heroic Act

Louise Jean Wilson, a 17-year-old Texas teen, was fatally shot in a road rage incident on December 10, 2023, while driving on I-45 in Houston.
Despite being mortally wounded, Wilson managed to safely guide her car off the road, potentially saving the lives of her two male passengers and preventing further accidents.
One of the passengers, a 17-year-old boy, was also shot but was treated and released from the hospital. The other passenger was uninjured.
The suspect, described as a black male in his mid-20s, is still at large.
Road rage incidents involving firearms have been increasingly common in Texas, with an average of 44 people killed or wounded per month in 2021.
