Texas Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse of Former Student

Angela Dawn Barnes, a middle school teacher, faces charges after an investigation revealed a summer relationship with an underage boy.

Angela Dawn Barnes, 45, is charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between an educator and student.
The alleged inappropriate relationship occurred off-campus between June and July 2024.
The investigation was initiated following a tip received by Keller Police in September.
Carroll Independent School District placed Barnes on administrative leave after being notified by police.
Authorities do not believe there are additional victims at this time.
