Texas Rangers Sign Three More Right-Handers to Minor League Contracts

Former All-Star Shane Greene Among the New Signings

Former All-Star reliever Shane Greene is among three right-handers the Texas Rangers have signed to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training.
Jonathan Holder and Austin Pruitt are the other two right-handers signed by the Rangers.
These signings come two weeks after veteran reliever Diego Castillo was in a group of three other right-handers signed to contracts that designated them as non-roster invitees to spring training.
Greene, a 35-year-old who joined the Chicago Cubs organization last June, has a 24-29 record with 67 saves and a 4.50 ERA in 345 games with five teams over 10 seasons in the majors.
Holder spent last season in the Los Angeles Angels organization, while Pruitt, who missed the end of last season with a right forearm strain, has a 14-16 record with a 4.43 ERA in 150 big league games since 2017.
