Texas Mother Faces Eviction After Fatal Shooting of Home Intruder

Aleah Wallace, who shot a 14-year-old intruder to protect her daughters, is now facing eviction from her subsidized housing for owning a gun.

Aleah Wallace, a Texas mother of four, shot and killed a 14-year-old intruder, Devin Baker, who was attempting to break into her home.
The incident occurred on December 14, when Baker tried to enter through the bedroom window of Wallace's 8-year-old daughter.
Wallace, who had experienced four attempted burglaries prior to the shooting, had recently purchased a gun for protection.
Despite no charges being filed against Wallace for the shooting, she has been informed of her impending eviction from her subsidized housing due to her possession of a gun.
The case is expected to be reviewed by a Texas grand jury.
