Texas Man Charged with Murdering Fiancé After Disturbing Google Search

Ty Vaughn, 31, is accused of fatally shooting his fiancé, Luis Banos Norberto, on January 14 in Baytown, Texas, and attempting to stage the scene as a suicide.
Court documents reveal Vaughn searched online for 'Can I kill an illegal human?' hours before Norberto's death, referring to his fiancé's undocumented status during the investigation.
Surveillance footage and neighbor testimonies contradict Vaughn's claim of finding Norberto dead upon returning home, placing him at the apartment at the time of the gunshot.
After the alleged shooting, Vaughn sent staged text messages to Norberto, who was already deceased, and delayed calling 911 by over 90 minutes.
Vaughn is being held in Harris County Jail on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning.
