Texas Man Arrested in Connection with 12-Year-Old Girl's Abduction

The girl was found safe after an eight-day search, with the suspect now facing charges and an FBI investigation.

Texas police have arrested 27-year-old Sirterryon Preston in connection with the abduction of a 12-year-old girl who was missing for eight days.
The girl was safely located in Columbus, Texas, approximately 94 miles west of Houston, and has been taken to Texas Children’s Hospital for evaluation.
Preston was charged with evading authorities after attempting to flee from officers and is being held in the Colorado County jail with additional charges possible, pending an FBI investigation.
The girl was last seen getting into a pickup truck in Houston on February 22, triggering an Amber Alert.
The case comes in the wake of another abduction incident in the Houston area, involving the death of 11-year-old Audrii Cunningham.
