Texas Man Arrested After Violent Outburst on Flight to Washington, D.C.

The suspect, who claimed he wanted to speak to Donald Trump, faces federal assault charges for attacking passengers and crew on an American Airlines flight.

Asterius Rulamka, a Texas resident, was arrested after allegedly assaulting a passenger and threatening a flight attendant on an American Airlines flight from Wichita to Washington, D.C.
The incident occurred on March 5 as the plane was preparing to land at Ronald Reagan National Airport, according to an FBI affidavit.
Rulamka reportedly attacked a passenger who was filming the altercation, causing bruising and a bloodshot eye, and attempted to strike a flight attendant, injuring the attendant's hand in the process.
The defendant told FBI agents he was traveling to D.C. to speak with Donald Trump, stating he was 'mad,' though no further details were provided on his motive.
Court records reveal Rulamka is also involved in an ongoing immigration violation case stemming from a visa overstay in 2014, and he is scheduled to appear in federal court on Thursday.
