Texas Lands 2026 LB Rocky Cummings After Flip From Cal

The three-star prospect committed following a November offer and his first trip to Austin.

Cummings announced his commitment to Texas on Wednesday, Nov. 26, via social media.
He had been pledged to Cal since June, and the decision follows the Golden Bears' firing of coach Justin Wilcox earlier this week.
Texas offered on Nov. 7 and hosted him for an official visit about two weeks later, which was his first time in Austin.
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, he is rated No. 600 overall in 2026 by the 247Sports Composite, No. 50 at linebacker and No. 44 in California.
He is the third linebacker in Texas’ 2026 class alongside four-stars Tyler Atkinson and Kosi Okpala, reinforcing a group ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC.
