Texas Executes Garcia Glenn White for 1989 Murders of Teenage Twins

White, who confessed to five murders, was also linked to the deaths of Greta Williams, Bonita Edwards, and Hai Pham but was only tried for the Edwards twins' case.
White's attorneys argued that his mental deficiencies and prolonged crack cocaine use contributed to his violent actions, but courts denied his appeals.
Family members of White's victims, including Dewanta Washington and Hiep Pham, attended the execution seeking closure and justice.
White's execution is part of a recent surge in U.S. executions, with two more scheduled later this month in Texas and Alabama.
