Texas A&M and Buc-ee's Launch First Co-Branded Merchandise

The T-shirt release signals a move to link campus retail with industry partnerships to support student learning at the donor-funded Aplin Center.

Overview

  • The co-branded T-shirt went on sale Tuesday at 20 Buc-ee's locations across Texas and at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on Texas A&M's College Station campus.
  • Stores stocking the shirt include Buc-ee's locations in Hillsboro, Temple, New Braunfels, Bastrop and Pearland among others across the state.
  • The merchandise expands a partnership that earlier this year made Texas A&M the first university to sell Buc-ee's snacks and products on campus, where more than 45 Buc-ee's items are now offered.
  • The collaboration builds on founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III's alumni ties and roughly $60 million he donated to fund the Aplin Center, which will offer hands-on programs in hospitality, retail, food innovation and customer experience.
  • Texas A&M and Buc-ee's say additional co-branded items are planned for the university's 150th anniversary, a rollout that could raise campus retail revenue, broaden Buc-ee's reach and create student merchandising and marketing opportunities tied to Aplin Center programming.
