Texans' Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce Out Against Vikings

Houston will rely on veteran Cam Akers as both their top running backs are sidelined with injuries.

Joe Mixon has been ruled out for Week 3 due to an ankle injury sustained against the Chicago Bears.
Dameon Pierce will also miss the game with a hamstring injury, having already missed Week 2.
Cam Akers is expected to be the primary rusher for the Texans in their matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Mixon did not practice all week and will not travel with the team to Minnesota.
The Texans have also called up J.J. Taylor from the practice squad to bolster their running back options.
