The versatile defender had transitioned from safety to nickel corner this season and has been a key player for the Texans' defense, recording 65 tackles, six tackles for loss, eight pass deflections, and one interception in 2024.
Jimmie Ward will step into the nickel corner role in Pitre's absence, with Eric Murray and Calen Bullock rotating at safety to adjust the defensive lineup.
The Texans, currently 7-5, face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday before entering their bye week and preparing for the final stretch of the regular season.
