Tesouro Direto Shuts Official Mobile App

The Treasury moved investor access through the Portal do Investidor or participating financial apps as it builds a new investor experience.

Overview

  • The Tesouro Direto mobile application has been deactivated and investors must use the Portal do Investidor or bank and broker apps that offer Tesouro Direct services to view and trade government bonds.
  • The Portal do Investidor supports portfolio view, transaction history, purchases, redemptions and rentability checks using Gov.br login credentials.
  • The Treasury says the change is administrative and will not affect invested balances or the reported rentability of public bonds, and no action is required from investors to preserve their holdings.
  • Access through financial institutions depends on each bank or broker enabling Tesouro Direto functions inside their apps, so some users may need to log into the Portal do Investidor if their provider has not yet enabled the service.
  • As part of the move, the Treasury says it is preparing a ‘new experience’ for investors with no timetable announced, so users should watch for official updates and use the Portal do Investidor for questions or support.
