Tesla's Market Share Rises in Sweden Amid Expanding Union Strikes

Despite a nearly year-long labor dispute, Tesla's market share in Sweden has grown to 8.5%, with the company navigating multiple union boycotts.

Tesla delivered 16,478 cars in Sweden in the first nine months of 2024, a 1% increase from the same period in 2023.
The labor dispute began in October 2023 when Tesla mechanics went on strike demanding a collective bargaining agreement.
Several unions, including those in Denmark and Norway, have joined the strike, refusing to cooperate with Tesla until the company agrees to union terms.
Recently, the Vision trade union announced that its members would stop servicing Tesla charging stations in Gothenburg starting October 10.
Tesla has managed to maintain operations by employing non-union staff and finding alternative transportation methods, despite the ongoing strikes.
