Overview
- Across the EU, UK and EFTA, ACEA’s July tally shows Tesla registrations fell to 8,837, down 40.2% year on year, cutting its share to 0.8% as BYD climbed to 13,503 and 1.2%.
- Overall European new-car sales rose 5.9% in July, with battery-electric vehicles taking 15.6% of the market as electrified segments grew faster than the total market.
- From January through July, Tesla recorded 119,013 registrations in the region, about 33% fewer than a year earlier, extending a multi-month slide.
