  • The 4,000-square-foot showroom will feature Model Y rear-wheel-drive SUVs and Supercharger units imported at nearly $1 million in value and charged roughly 70% in duties.
  • Company officials have confirmed there are no current plans for local manufacturing and that a second experience centre is slated for Delhi-NCR.
  • Tesla has ramped up hiring across store management, sales, service and supply-chain engineering roles to staff its initial Indian operations.
  • Visitors at the Mumbai centre will be able to configure orders next week with deliveries of imported vehicles expected to begin in late August.
