- Tesla India Motor & Energy signed a five-year lease for 24,565 sq ft at Lodha Logistics Park in Kurla West, Mumbai, at a total rent of ₹24.38 crore with a 5 per cent annual escalation.
- The ground-floor facility will serve as a service centre and garage—excluding bodywork and spray painting—with rent payments commencing June 1 after a brief rent-free period.
- Tesla has secured flagship showroom leases in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex and Delhi NCR’s Aerocity along with a 30-seat managed office near BKC to support its retail rollout.
- Union Heavy Industries Minister H D Kumaraswamy confirmed that Tesla will focus on selling imported electric vehicles in India and has no immediate plans for local manufacturing.
- The company is positioning its network of showrooms and service hubs for an official market launch in India’s electric vehicle segment in the fourth quarter of the financial year.
