Overview

  • Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt Ltd has signed a nine-year sublease for 8,200 sq ft at Aerocity’s Worldmark 3 in Delhi at a monthly rent of ₹17.22 lakh
  • The agreement carries a security deposit of ₹1.03 crore, a 120-day fit-out window, 15% rent escalations every three years and common-area charges of ₹33.5 per sq ft
  • The Aerocity showroom will be Tesla’s second retail centre in India after its July 15 debut at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, with an opening scheduled for August 11
  • Faced with roughly 70% import duties on fully built EVs, Tesla is importing its Model Y lineup and prioritizing flagship showrooms over local assembly
  • The Delhi facility complements Tesla’s expanding network of showrooms, planned service hubs and Superchargers to strengthen EV infrastructure in the National Capital Region
