Tesla Secures Mumbai Showroom Space in India's Costliest Business District

The EV giant has leased a 4,000-sq ft space in Bandra Kurla Complex for ₹35.26 lakh per month, marking its first retail presence in India.

Tesla has signed a five-year lease for a 4,000-sq ft showroom in the Maker Maxity building in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The monthly rent for the space starts at ₹35.26 lakh, with a 5% annual escalation, and a security deposit of ₹2.11 crore has been paid.
The lease agreement was registered on February 27, 2025, and the rent-free period extends from February 16 to March 31, 2025.
The showroom is expected to sell imported electric vehicles, with no confirmed details yet on local manufacturing or assembly plans.
BKC, one of India's most expensive commercial hubs, houses several global corporations and high-profile tenants, underscoring Tesla's strategic choice of location.
