Tesla Recalls 120,000 Model S and X Vehicles in the US

Safety issue could result in doors unlocking during a crash, addressed with over-the-air software update

Tesla has recalled 120,423 Model S and X vehicles in the US due to a safety issue that could result in doors unlocking during a crash.
The recall is due to the vehicles failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, 'Side Impact Protection.'
The issue has been fixed through an over-the-air software update, which Tesla has released free of charge.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by February 17, 2024.
This recall follows another recent recall of over 2 million Tesla vehicles over Autopilot safety concerns.
