Overview

• Tesla formally entered the Indian market on July 15 with the launch of its Model Y electric SUV and the opening of its first showroom at Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex.
• The Model Y is priced ex-showroom at ₹59.89 lakh for the rear-wheel-drive variant and ₹67.89 lakh for the long-range version.
• WLTC-rated range stands at 500 km for the RWD and 622 km for the Long Range model, with fast charging adding up to 238 km in 15 minutes (RWD) and 267 km (Long Range).
• Bookings are now live for customers in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram, backed by newly appointed sales and service teams and installed Supercharger stations.
• All vehicles will be imported as CBUs from Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory under current regulations, with deliveries slated for Q3 2025 and a second showroom planned in New Delhi.
