Tesla Opens India’s First Supercharging Station at Mumbai’s BKC

The Bandra-Kurla Complex site starts an eight-station high-speed network to support Tesla’s recently launched Model Y across India.

Overview

  • The facility offers four V4 DC Supercharging stalls delivering up to 250 kW at ₹24 per kWh and four AC Destination stalls providing 11 kW at ₹14 per kWh.
  • This initial station is the first of eight planned locations designed to build a cross-country charging network across India.
  • Tesla is including a complimentary home wall connector with every new Model Y purchase to enable convenient overnight charging.
  • Tesla’s Model Y can regain up to 267 km of range in 15 minutes at a Supercharger, enough for five round trips between Mumbai’s airport and the Gateway of India.
  • Nationwide online reservations are open and Model Y deliveries kick off in Q3 2025, with priority allocation for Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Gurugram.
