Tesla Launches Lower-Priced Model 3 Standard in the UK

Tesla targets lower running costs with a simpler spec to broaden Model 3’s UK appeal.

Overview

  • Orders are open now, with first UK customer deliveries expected toward the end of February 2026.
  • UK-specific tuning limits top speed to 110 mph and 0–60 mph to 6.2 seconds to place the car in insurance group 32.
  • Tesla quotes a 332-mile range, and the car retains Supercharger access, over-the-air updates, base Autopilot and hardware readiness for Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
  • Cost-focused changes include cloth upholstery, manual seat and steering adjustments, removal of the rear screen, subwoofer and AM/FM radio, plus standard 18-inch alloys to aid efficiency and tyre costs.
  • The Standard replaces the previous Rear-Wheel Drive as the entry Model 3, with UK pricing reported from £37,990 and coverage noting lower prices in some European markets such as Germany.
