Tesla Launches First All-In-One India Centre in Gurugram, Opening Nov. 27

The company pitches lower running costs to counter high import prices in its early push into India.

Overview

  • The Orchid Business Park site unifies retail, deliveries, service and on-site fast charging, marking a shift beyond display-only locations in Mumbai and Delhi.
  • V4 Superchargers at the centre support rapid top-ups, with Tesla citing up to about 275 km of range in 15 minutes.
  • With the Gurugram activation, Tesla says its Indian network reaches four charging stations featuring 16 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers.
  • Tesla says Model Y buyers could recoup roughly one-third of the price over four to five years through fuel and maintenance savings, with home charging costing about a tenth of petrol.
  • Imported Model Y variants are priced at Rs 59.89–67.89 lakh under a direct-to-consumer model, and FADA/Vahan data show 104 retail registrations in September and October.
