Tesla Launches Cheaper Model 3 Across Europe and Adds Model Y Standard to UK Lineup

The strategy targets price‑sensitive buyers after a year of falling European registrations.

Overview

  • Tesla opened orders for the Model 3 Standard in Europe, listing prices from €37,970 in Germany and positioning it below the Premium RWD trim.
  • The Model Y Standard is now on sale in the UK at £41,990 with a claimed 314‑mile range and lease offers from £299 a month, replacing the previous Rear‑Wheel Drive entry model.
  • To hit lower price points, the Standard trims drop or downgrade features such as the glass roof, rear passenger screen, light bars, some sound‑deadening, rear heated seats, and other amenities; UK cars get 19‑inch wheels.
  • UK deliveries for the new Model Y entry variant are scheduled to begin in early 2026, while the Model 3 Standard in Europe is listed for delivery from February 2026.
  • In China, the six‑seat Model Y L now shows estimated delivery in February 2026, and Tesla is running free supervised FSD ride‑alongs in Europe as it works with RDW toward a targeted February 2026 supervised FSD rollout pending approval.
