Tesla Launches California Pilot to Rent Premium EVs for 3–7 Days With Free Charging and FSD

Overview
- The time-limited pilot is active at two stores in San Diego and Costa Mesa, with rentals restricted to in-state use only.
- Rentals run three to seven days with the first 48 hours free, include unlimited mileage, free Supercharging, Full Self-Driving (Supervised), and app access.
- Pricing starts at $60 per day for Model 3 and Model Y, $75 for Cybertruck, and $90 for Model S and Model X.
- Only Premium trims are available; renters must be 21 or older with a valid U.S. driver’s license, credit card, and proof of insurance, and the offer runs through the end of 2025.
- Customers who order a vehicle within seven days receive up to a $250 purchase credit, while a $30 fee applies if the car is returned below 50% charge.
