Tesla Cleared of Unlawful Dismissal Claims Amid Union Campaign

U.S. Labor Board finds merit in two separate claims against Tesla, could lead to further legal action.

Tesla has been cleared by the U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) of allegations that it unlawfully dismissed employees in its Autopilot software department amid a union campaign.
The case was filed by Workers United, a union seeking to organize Tesla's workforce in the Buffalo, New York-based gigafactory.
The NLRB did find merit to two separate claims regarding Tesla's unlawful use of technology rules in the workplace and the company's attempts to solicit worker grievances to undermine union support.
If Tesla does not settle these claims, the NLRB will issue a complaint against the company to be heard by an administrative judge.
This development is part of a broader effort to unionize Tesla facilities across the country.
